CERTIFICATION COURSES

Graduates of our courses receive $50 discount on rentals and charters anytime in the same calendar year and can take advantage of the ASA Graduate Sunday Boat Special. The ASA Grad Special Boat leaves the dock Sundays at 1:00 and costs $85 per person. Basic Keelboat Course (ASA101) $495
Graduates are able to sail a boat of 23 feet in length in light to moderate winds and sea conditions in familiar waters without supervision. No auxiliary power or navigation skills required.
Morning Sessions – Two hours of classroom instruction each day covering sailing theory and terminology; crew communications; knots; rules of the road; chart reading & a test. Afternoon Session – Four hours of on-water sailing instruction aboard a 23′ sailboat practicing points of sail, boat handling, safety procedures, and crew rescue. Boats limited to four students. Students receive $50 discount on subsequent rentals.heeled in

Intermediate Level
Basic Coastal Cruising (ASA 103) $595
Grads are able to cruise safely in local and regional waters as both skipper and crew on an auxiliary powered sailboat of 27 feet in length, in moderate winds and sea conditions

An advanced cruising Standard for individuals with cruising
experience. The graduate can act as skipper or crew of a 34 foot boat sailing by day in coastal waters. The Standard includes knowledge of boat systems and maintenance procedures.

Students successfully completing ASA courses receive ASA Certification and an ASA logbook. Price includes two-day course, certification processing, and textbook. Courses are taught weekdays and weekends 9:30 am -to 4:30pm. Courses require a minimum of two students. Intermediate courses require pre-requisite certification and experience.

 

 


LESSONS

Instructors are available at the rate of $200 per lesson for one student and $60 for each additional student up to four students. Lessons are conducted mornings from 9am – 11am and 11am – 1pm.

All lessons are two hours in length.
